Did you know that the National Safety Council is not only a wonderful resource for all things safety, but they also offer free surveys that you can utilize in your own workplace?  The free NSC Safety Barometer surveys give you an assessment of your organization’s safety programs.  According to their website the surveys will “measure the elements of an organizations safety excellence including: management leadership, supervisory support, employee engagement, safety programs and activities as well as the workplace climate.”

The NSC states that these surveys will also help you: Increase engagement and employee moral, compare responses to over 1,000 other organizations, establish a baseline for reassessment in the future, make a prioritized improvement plan using leading indicators, and integrate SMART countermeasures into your improvement efforts.
