Slip resistant steel plates increasing worker efficiency at the New York Times printing facility
Since 1983, Therm-Omega-Tech, Inc. has designed and manufactured reliable self actuated valves for temperature control. Each product is made and distributed from their 25,000 foot manufacturing facility near Philadelphia. When the existing grating on rear outdoor safety exits became rusted through, an engineer contacted SLIPNOT to provide a safe and cost effective way to replace them.
SLIPNOT provided Therm-Omega-Tech, Inc. with galvanized steel Grip Grate® in sizes 1-1/4” x 3/16” x 10-15/16” x 45”, 1-1/4” x 3/16” x 23-15/16” x 48”, and 1-1/4” x 3/16” x 29-7/8” x 48” steel grating for their installation. Non-slip steel Grip Grate® was chosen for its file hard surface (55 – 63 on the Rockwell scale) and bond strength (at least 4,000 psi). Therm-Omega-Tech Inc. chose to have SLIPNOT galvanize the steel to protect it from corrosion.
By installing SLIPNOT galvanized steel Grip Grate®, Therm-Omega-Tech, Inc. provided a safe and durable solution for their outdoor safety exits. The grating allows for rain and snow to pass through, while still remaining slip resistant. Having this long lasting grating installed has given Therm-Omega-Tech, Inc. the safety and peace of mind they were looking for.
