Hi. My name is Jeff Baker. I’ve spent the past 40 years in the EH&S field, 26 of them here at SLIPNOT where I’m its Chief Product Officer.
SLIPNOT manufactures the most durable, longest lasting, high-friction products; and since 1987, we’ve been keeping pedestrians, cyclists, and workers safe from slip and fall events. Slips, trips, and falls are the number three OSHA recordable workplace accidents. Over 200,000 of them occur every year. An estimated impact on the cost of this is $70 billion. Sadly 750 to 850 people over the past decade each year have died as a result of slip, trips, and falls. And the tragedy of it all is slips, trips, and falls are 100% preventable.
In this video series we’re going to look at the magnitude of slip and fall problems, the cost associated with it, the science behind the slip and fall event, and then ways to mitigate it and design in solutions before a slip trip and fall event can even occur.
