Steel perforated plate prevents slips and falls in heavy manufacturing environment

Manufacturing operations can very easily be hazardous places. Slips, trips and falls are often commonplace with workers operating in confined spaces, working with heavy machinery, and handling dangerous chemicals.

A large construction equipment manufacturer had several oily areas and confined spaces like drains and steel hatch doorways. Because they were committed to the safety of their employees, they turned to SLIPNOT to help mitigate these hazardous areas.

SLIPNOT recommended (6) 48" x 96" x 1/8" thick steel perforated plates with Grade 2 steel coating. To meet the plant's aesthetic requirements, we painted them black.

Since the SLIPNOT installation, the drain area has been walked on daily with no safety incidents. The steel hatch door is no longer a slip hazard.
