Heavy Duty, Light Duty, ADA Floor Grating

Non-slip floor grating comes in a plethora of options to fit any project’s requirements. Floor grating has many different styles available to fit any requirement or application.  Below are just a few styles readily available:

ADA Compliant Floor Grating:

In order for floor grating to comply with ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) requirements, the openings in floor or ground surfaces shall allow passage of a sphere not more than ½ inch (13 mm) in diameter and elongated openings shall be placed so that the long dimension is perpendicular to the dominant direction of travel.

Heavy Duty Floor Grating:

Heavy duty floor grating is used as industrial flooring where heavy static or rolling loads are encountered including heavy vehicular truck traffic up to H-20 loading.  Heavy duty grating meets the demanding vehicle loading requirements of AASHTO and is geared to handle heavy rolling loads.  Heavy duty grating is best suited for traffic that includes forklifts, cars, trucks, and heavy machinery.

Light Duty Floor Grating:

The open grid of light duty floor grating provides maximum passage of light, air circulation and drainage.  Light duty floor grating is most commonly used and used for pedestrian traffic, and for light, rubber pneumatic tire-rolling traffic such as carts, dollies and hand trucks.

Slip resistance is vital for any type of floor grating.  Without a slip resistant surface, bare bar grating can be extremely slippery.  In order to keep workers and pedestrians safe, specify SLIPNOT® floor grating for your next grating project.
