Stainless Steel Plates Exterior Safety

Non-slip stainless steel plate is commonly used in the slippery environments of food processing facilities.  Due to its ability to withstand caustic enzyme environments stainless steel flooring is an ideal solution in these harsh environments.  Not only should this versatile product be used in processing locations, stainless plate should be considered for use in exterior sidewalks, pedestrian bridges and stairs.

High traffic walkways need to be safe in any environment.  Pedestrian bridges and stairs require slip resistance and SLIPNOT stainless steel flooring is a smart choice.  Stuyvesant High School in New York City used stainless Grip Plate® on the Tribeca Bridge, the bridge that let’s students safely cross over a busy intersection.   Plates were fabricated to specifications and have created a long lasting safety surface even in wet conditions.   Non-slip plate can also be retrofitted over existing slippery walkways.

Entryways to businesses and covers to drainage systems are also good places to utilize slip resistant stainless flooring.  Stainless steel grating, perforated plate, and expanded metal are also available with a non-slip surface and can be used in conjunction with solid plate or by themselves in order to create a custom safety exterior walkway.  Keep pedestrians safe, use slip resistant stainless steel plate.
