- The Situation:
An American company known for supplying various products and services to the software, aerospace, and biotech industries also makes custom adventure vehicles. One such vehicle is a fully customized truck capable of a 2,000 mile journey on virtually any terrain without having to refuel. It’s fully equipped with a bathroom, upscale kitchen, access to any type of communication, and so much more.
- The Solution:
The extravagant design and planning did not overlook safety. SLIPNOT® was contacted to supply a custom non-slip solution for an area at the back of the vehicle. Seven (7) various sized ¼” thick stainless steel plates were sent to SLIPNOT, masked in diagonal sections, and coated with SLIPNOT’s Grade 2 stainless steel surface. The plates were shipped back to the manufacturer in less than two weeks.
- The Impact
Feedback from the company was extremely positive. The high-traction surface allows customers and workers to access the controls and storage compartments located on the back of the truck without the risk of slipping and falling.
