AIA Continuing Education Health Safety and Welfare Credits

AIA (American Institute of Architects) members and architects of certain states (states with mandatory continuing education) must complete continuing education credits for license renewal.  In the past, Health, Safety, and Welfare (HSW)-related training required 8 credits a year and could be self-reported by the architect.  For 2012 the number of HSW credits has increased to 12 and can no longer be self reported.

In effect as of January 2012, this increase will enable AIA members to also meet most state requirements, as well as raise the quality of professional development.  SlipNOT® offers an AIA approved presentation on Smart Design to Prevent Slips, Trips and Falls that counts as one Health, Safety and Welfare credit.  The presentation is about an hour long, includes lunch and provides valuable information on what coefficient of friction is and how it is measured, as well as corresponding ASTM standards and other information on smart design.

If you are interested in the presentation you can fill out a form here: https://slipnot.com/continuing-education/, call (313) 923-0400 to speak with Sarah McCollough or e-mail us at info@slipnot.com.  We travel throughout North America monthly and can schedule a presentation to fit your schedule.
